General Information
In our shop, you can easily order all the products for your vehicle online. Simply select your vehicle make and exact model to discover all the compatible products. You can design your seat covers to your liking using our configurator and then add them to your cart.
After ordering seat covers, we’ll ask you to complete a “fit check” so we can be 100% sure you’ll receive the exact right seat covers from us. As soon as we receive your fit check, we’ll inspect the seats and begin production.
This step is not required for any other products. If you’ve ordered products with different delivery times, the longest specified delivery time applies.
We currently don't have a store or showroom where you can view our products. To get a better idea of what we offer, we recommend checking out our many videos on YouTube and our other social media channels. You can order free fabric samples at any time to feel the fabric for yourself.
The delivery time for all seat covers is currently about 8 weeks. This is because we always strive to offer you premium quality and perfect custom-made products. Thank you for your understanding. As we all know, anticipation is half the fun. Delivery times for other additional products are listed on each product page and may vary.
Unfortunately, any products we make especially for you on a made-to-order basis (e.g., seat covers and fabric sold by the meter) cannot be returned. An order can only be canceled within the legal framework if the fit check has not yet been completed and production has therefore not yet begun. You can think of it like custom tailoring. That’s why we can’t accept returns for products that have already been ordered and produced—products into which we’ve invested a lot of time, effort, and a great deal of care. For this reason, we also operate on a prepaid basis. However, if there are any defects in your custom-made product that are our fault, we will of course take full responsibility. This means we’ll repair your product immediately and, in extreme cases, even replace it. For more information, please see our Terms and Conditions.
If your vehicle model isn't listed on our website yet, that doesn't necessarily mean we don't have products for you in our lineup. We're constantly developing new patterns for different vehicles, and yours might be in the works right now. Feel free to send us your vehicle information via our vehicle inquiry form, and our customer service team will review your request.
Unfortunately, it’s generally not possible to create your own designs. Our processes are optimized for our existing designs, so a custom order would involve a great deal of work and ultimately wouldn’t be worth it for you. If you’re still seriously interested, or if you’d like to equip multiple vehicles (e.g., for your company) with seat covers featuring your own design or a logo print, please contact us via the contact form.
We’re constantly expanding our product line and try to add fresh, new designs for you every year, though this doesn’t happen very often. As a result, some of our designs may no longer be available in our store. However, we still have all designs on file in our system and can access them for potential reorders. Feel free to ask us about this.

Depending on the size of your order and the destination country, we'll ship your package via either DPD or DHL.
No, unfortunately, in-person pickup at our location is not possible, since not all of our production takes place in Munich and we do not have a store there.
Seat Covers
IMPORTANT: The product preview is only an illustrative example to give you a general idea of what the seat will look like. Since there are so many different seat shapes and details—such as straps, cutouts, etc.—it’s simply impossible for us to always match the image in the configurator exactly to your vehicle. But don’t worry!
After you place your order, you’ll automatically receive a questionnaire about your vehicle, where we’ll ask for all the seat details, guide you through the questions with pictures, and ensure that everything fits 100% in the end. Only once that’s done will the seat covers be custom-made for you!

Our seat covers are custom-made for your specific vehicle model and fit over your original car seat like a second skin. Plus, all features—such as ISOFIX, airbags, etc.—are taken into account. Every car seat in our lineup has been scanned using a 3D scanner; using this data, we’ve created precise patterns, allowing us to guarantee a perfect fit. During a “fit check” after you place your order, we’ll identify the exact pattern that’s right for you.
The material we use is highly breathable, durable, and—most importantly—machine-washable.
As you can see—premium quality across the board!
As a general rule, it all comes down to personal taste. Still, based on our experience, we can offer a few tips.
For example, patterns are SIGNIFICANTLY more durable than solid colors, and even a plain dark blue isn’t necessarily as durable as the Toucan pattern. Water stains show up fastest on plain gray tones, while a chocolate stain on the Oriental Flamingo pattern takes some searching to find. If you’re very concerned about stain resistance and don’t want to wash the covers quite as often, we advise against choosing covers that are too light in color.
When choosing a color, you should consider who will be riding with you, what kinds of stains might occur, and how much wear and tear the seat covers will be subjected to.
Above all, though, consider what you personally like best and what puts you in a good mood the moment you get in!
The magic word is FIT CHECK.
Only if you complete the fit check required for your vehicle AFTER placing your order can we begin custom production of your seat covers and guarantee a “fit like a second skin.”
After you place your order, the check will direct you to a questionnaire about your vehicle’s seats. For some vehicles, you’ll also need to upload a photo of a seat or bench in the questionnaire. We’ll explain exactly how to do that. By examining your vehicle’s seats, we’ll know exactly which pattern to use during production—because even two identical vehicles can have different seats installed! We’ve physically handled every seat and bench we offer and know all their specifications. This means we also know exactly what to look for.
TIP: You can also do the fit check before the vehicle arrives. However, you’ll need some information—and ideally, photos from your manufacturer or dealer—to complete the check. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about this.
Unfortunately, not every seat is the same, even if the make, model, and year are identical. Often, the seats differ only in small details, but these details can affect how well your seat covers fit. A good example is the VW T5 driver’s seat—we have more than 30 different patterns for it in our system. If you want to be on the safe side, feel free to send us an email with your order number and a few pictures of the seats in your new vehicle, and we’ll check for compatibility.
If you can’t find your seats, backseat, or seat configuration in our store, we recommend that you first contact our customer service team via email (info@DriveDressy.com). Please send us your request along with your vehicle model, make, and a few photos of your seats. We’ll then look into it for you.
If we don’t actually carry your seats in our product range, you still have the option to purchase our fabric by the meter and work with an upholstery shop or sewing shop in your area to find the best solution. Many of our customers have already told us about the great results their local upholstery shops have achieved.
We use a 100% durable synthetic fiber from the automotive industry. The unique fabric composition—featuring a hard-wearing surface, a 3mm-thick foam layer, and an anti-slip backing—is exceptionally breathable and comfortably soft. Our material is flame-retardant, has a lightfastness rating of 7 out of 8, and withstands 42,000 abrasion cycles. It is machine-washable at 30°C. The fabric is:
- very durable and tear-resistant, particularly suitable for dogs
- machine washable
- comfortably padded
- breathable
All of our seat covers are made from this same material, which is perfectly suited for seat covers; there is no choice between different materials.
If you’re a dog or pet owner, you’ve come to the right place. Our seat covers are perfectly suited to withstand hair, paw prints, dirt, and claws—they’re tear-resistant and extremely durable. Plus, if they get really dirty, you can easily wash them in the washing machine, or just wipe them down with a slightly damp cloth every now and then.
Absolutely! Our seat covers are machine washable on a gentle cycle at 30°. Be sure to follow the care instructions on the product page and included in the package.
Our seat covers aren't waterproof, but they are slightly water-repellent. In a quick test, we found that it takes a good 30 seconds for the fabric to absorb moisture if you happen to spill some coffee or beer.
Not just one, but several. Simply pick out your favorite designs in our shop and have them shipped to your home.
Our seat covers are delivered directly to your home, where you can—and will need to—put them on yourself. But don’t worry—we won’t leave you to figure this out on your own! On our YouTube channel, you’ll find installation videos tailored to your specific seats. There, we’ll share all the tips and tricks that make putting on the seat covers a breeze. In most cases, it’s as simple as using Velcro and zippers.

Our seat covers (and some other products) are custom-made specifically according to your design preferences and tailored just for you. Furthermore, we don’t even keep fabric by the meter in stock—we actually print the fabric just for you. That’s why we have almost no items in stock in our shop. To ensure that you end up with seat covers that fit like a second skin, we need a little time. We hope you understand.
The seat covers are manufactured in Munich and Slovenia.
All the key features of your seats will be preserved.
In areas where the seats have airbags, for example, we sew in airbag seams. Thanks to the fit check, we know exactly which seats you have.
The dials for adjusting the armrests, ISOFIX, seat belts—everything remains accessible, and the seats can be adjusted and folded down just as before.
The seat covers are compatible with heated seats.
Fit Check
You must always perform a fit check when you order seat covers from us. The fit check is essential so that we can guarantee you the perfect fit.
IF YOU DON'T PERFORM THE FIT CHECK, YOU'LL LOSE YOUR FIT GUARANTEE AND PRODUCTION CAN'T BEGIN.
As soon as possible. The delivery time for our seat covers is approximately 12 weeks from the fit check. This means: The longer it takes you to complete the fit check, the later your order will be added to the production list, and the longer you may have to wait.
Please complete the fit check within 5 days of placing your order, if possible. Thank you very much.
After the fit check, our production team will review your details and photos and include information with your order specifying exactly which patterns are needed for your custom seat covers.
You don’t need to do anything else. If we have any questions, WE’LL get in touch.
The fit check usually takes just a few minutes. Plan on spending about 5–15 minutes on this, depending on how many seats you’ve ordered covers for and how many questions you’ll be asked.

Well, yes and no—it’s a good idea to have your vehicle nearby when you’re doing the fit check so that, if you have any questions about your seat, you can double-check right away to make sure you’ve selected the correct answer.
For some vehicles, you’ll need to take photos of the seats—in that case, you’ll need to have the vehicle nearby or have someone send you the necessary photos.
If your vehicle isn’t nearby at all or you haven’t received it yet, feel free to contact us and we’ll work out together what you can do.
No, normally you don't need to measure anything for the fit check. We may provide you with several images to choose from (e.g., of headrests) and list their dimensions—in which case, if your specific model isn't immediately obvious, you may need to take a few measurements to select the correct image of your seat.

Magnetic Pouches
For whatever you like. The magnetic bags are perfect for storing clothes, bathroom essentials, toys, snacks, or even shoes; they can be used as a beach bag or for a stroll through town—the possibilities are endless.
IMPORTANT: If you use the bag with magnets, we strongly advise against storing cell phones, debit cards, or other sensitive items in the bag, as they may be damaged by the magnetic field.
No, inside the bag there is a large main compartment and a compartment that opens and closes with a zipper. The bag magnet is placed inside this zippered compartment. Therefore—at least when using the bag magnet—only the main compartment can be accessed.
The bag itself is not magnetic at first.
By inserting the included bag magnet into the inside of the bag, the bag becomes magnetic and will adhere to any metal surface—such as the vehicle itself or a metal strip—without needing a counterpart.
To attach the bag to the seat cover, you’ll need the counterpart magnet. Slide this under the seat cover at any suitable spot so that the bag magnet and the counterpart magnet can attract each other. This allows the bag to “hold on,” so to speak. The same method also works, for example, with tent walls or thin cabinet panels.
Both the bag magnet and the counterpart magnet each contain several strong individual neodymium magnets that are encased in a fabric insert.
Magnetic pouches can only be used on the seat if the seat covers are durable.
To attach the pocket to the seat cover, you’ll need the matching magnet. Slide this under the seat cover at any suitable spot so that the pocket magnet and the matching magnet can attract each other. This allows the pocket to “stick” in place, so to speak. The same method also works, for example, with tent walls or thin cabinet panels.
No, the bags are made from the same durable material as our seat covers, but without the foam padding.
The material is slightly water-repellent but not waterproof. This also means that you should protect the magnetic bag from the elements—such as heavy rain—to prevent damage to the bag and, most importantly, to the magnets inside it.
The bag is not insulated; it is not a cooler bag.
The magnetic pouches can be gently washed at 30°C on the wool cycle; see the care instructions above.
IMPORTANT: You must remove all magnets before washing!
The magnets themselves won't scratch your car's paint, since they're encased in fabric and securely stowed in the corresponding pocket compartment.
However, when attaching them to the vehicle, make sure to keep the metal eyelets used to secure the straps and the bag’s closure turned to the side so that these parts don’t scratch your paint.
The magnetic pouches are available in three sizes: S, M, and L. You can find the exact dimensions on the product page. You can also purchase additional straps or magnets, as well as the matching adhesive metal strips for attaching your pouches.
Heated Mats
The COCKPIT SET always includes a thermal mat for the windshield, as well as one magnetic mat each for the driver's-side and passenger-side windows. Everything you need for installation—such as the rods inside the windshield mat—is also included.
IMPORTANT: We may include notes in the product description above specifying which specific variants of a vehicle model the Cockpit Set is compatible with.
The LIVING SPACE SET includes all mats and mounting accessories for:
- Rear window
- Center side window on the driver's side, with or without a sliding window
- Center side window on the passenger side, with or without a sliding window
- Rear side window, driver's side
- Rear side window, passenger side
The thermal mats are generally attached inside the vehicle, with the black side facing outward.
The two front side thermal mats are held in place magnetically and are simply attached to the vehicle body.
The thermal mat for the windshield is secured using a rod system and the sun visors. Built-in magnets around the rearview mirror ensure that the mat can be attached snugly here as well.
The thermal mats for the living area are usually attached to small metal rods that are included and can be glued into the respective window trim; see the video. This means that no suction cups are needed in the rear either. The metal rods can be removed again.
Yes, the thermal mats we offer always have black edging and a matte black exterior. The insulating layer inside the mat ensures its insulating function; it does not rely on a reflective silver side, as you might see on comparable products.
The black design also looks more stylish and is less conspicuous.
The thermal mats can be wiped down with a slightly damp cloth, but they should not be washed in the washing machine.
A Cockpit Set can be folded flat; see the video. The windshield mat is folded or rolled up to a maximum of two times.
The two side thermal mats can be stowed perfectly in the backrest pockets of your DriveDressy seat covers or laid flat in the pop-up roof. The windshield mat can also be placed completely flat in the roof (NOTE: Depends on the roof!) or stowed on the back seat, a mattress, or similar.
If you purchase a living area set, you’ll need to plan for significantly more storage space—ideally in the trunk—for a total of 8 flat mats of various sizes.

The secret of our mosquito nets lies in the hem, where small magnets are sewn in that easily attach to the car body around the window.
Good news: Yes! Since both the thermal mats and the mosquito nets are attached magnetically, there’s no problem using both products at the same time. You can easily attach the thermal mats over the mosquito nets, so there’s no need for the hassle of putting them on and taking them off.

By the meter
Fabric sold by the meter can be used in many different ways; here are a few ideas:
Unpadded fabric:
- Sheers & curtains
- Tablecloths
- Custom pillowcases
- Laundry bags
Upholstery fabric:
- Custom covers for upholstery & mattresses
- Custom-made dog blankets and pillows
- Wall coverings
- Upholstery for individual furniture components
- Custom seat covers for rear benches that we don’t carry in our product line, or DIY seating or sleeping areas in your camper
Fabric by the meter can be ordered by the running meter. The unpadded fabric is always 150 cm wide and 1, 2, or 3 meters long. The padded fabric is always 158 cm wide and also 1, 2, or 3 meters long. If you need more than 3 running meters—for example, 5 meters—you can order 1 set of 2 running meters and 1 set of 3 running meters.
Padded fabric by the meter and unpadded fabric by the meter are made of the same durable material on the surface.
While the unpadded fabric by the yard is relatively thin and flexible and can be used, for example, for curtains, tablecloths, or pillowcases, the padded fabric by the yard is backed with an approximately 3-mm-thick layer of foam and protected with a charmeuse (a type of fine mesh on the underside).
The padded fabric by the yard is therefore much thicker and cozier than the unpadded version and is thus ideal for upholstery or making covers.
When printing the fabric by the meter, we use the same pattern scale as for the seat covers. The pattern is printed exactly as shown in the product image above; that is, the pattern is neatly aligned and centered across the width of the fabric and then repeats as many times as needed along the length, depending on the quantity of fabric ordered.
The fabric is printed on one side only!
PLEASE NOTE: For the “Magic Forest” and “Misty Mountains” patterns, the design restarts from the beginning every 1 meter in length, as these are “images” rather than continuous patterns.
If you need more than 3 meters of fabric—for example, 5 meters—you can simply add 1 item of 2 running meters and 1 item of 3 running meters to your cart.
The reason we print a maximum of 3 running meters at a time is that minor printing errors can occasionally occur. In these cases, we’ll of course reprint the order, which means we don’t produce quite as much waste if an error occurs.
If you’d like to sew (or have someone sew) covers for backrests or seat cushions yourself—for example, because we don’t carry the pattern you need—it’s advisable to choose a pattern that’s as simple as possible or solid colors, where the pattern alignment at the seams isn’t quite as critical as it would be with, say, a very linear design.
The more precise pattern pieces you have to cut from the fabric by the meter, the more scrap there will be and the more fabric you’ll need. Hawaii Dream, Toucan, or Hibiscus, for example, are very simple patterns for homemade covers.
The amount of fabric you'll need depends entirely on the size of the piece of furniture you're upholstering and the colors and patterns you choose.
As a rule of thumb, you’ll need about 3–4 running meters of upholstery fabric for an average two-seater rear bench if you choose just one color.

Like nearly all of our custom products, this fabric by the meter is also made especially for you upon order.
We don’t keep any fabric in stock by the meter; instead, we print the fabric specifically in the quality, color, and length you choose—just for you.
Since the fabric sold by the meter—just like our seat covers—is produced as part of our regular printing cycle, the entire process takes up to 8 weeks.
Yes, our fabric sold by the meter can be gently machine-washed at 30°C. Please be sure to follow the care instructions above.
Yes, our fabric can be glued in place. The padded fabric is particularly well-suited for this; it can be glued—using a suitable spray adhesive—to a smooth, flat surface, for example, which is then installed in the camper as a covering; see the photos on this page.
PLEASE NOTE: Our fabric sold by the meter has virtually no stretch and is not well-suited for covering surfaces “around curves,” as this would result in too many wrinkles.

Yes, our fabric sold by the meter can be sewn on a "regular" sewing machine; you don't need an industrial sewing machine. If you're unsure, we recommend ordering a few free fabric samples and trying it out for yourself!
Mattress Covers
In our store, you’ll find only mattress covers for the standard sizes of the original mattresses or bed extensions from the respective manufacturers. Unfortunately, custom-made covers are not available. If you’d like to incorporate your design into your bedroom and we don’t carry your mattress in our selection, you can also purchase our fabric by the meter and team up with a local seamstress to start your own little
DIY project.
The mattress covers are easy to wash gently in the washing machine at 30°, just like our seat covers. Please follow all care instructions included with the product and in the package.
Our mattress covers are made from the same durable and breathable synthetic fiber as our seat covers. The material is tear-resistant, flame-retardant, very durable, and machine-washable.
All of our designs are also available by the meter. Just go to the "By the Meter" section in the shop and choose the design you like.
